What is a dermaplane?
Dermaplaning is a physical exfoliation procedure. It requires the use of a sterile, surgical scalpel to gently "shave" the skin's surface, removing the top-most layer of dead skin along with fine, vellus hair (aka peach fuzz).
How long will it take to recover from dermaplaning?
There is absolutely no recovery or down time with this treatment.
What are the benefits of dermaplaning?
Exfoliation helps your skincare products penetrate the skin and improves their results. Dermaplaning removes excess fine hairs which are known for trapping the dirt, oil and dead skin cells in your pores that are the main cause of acne and blemishes.
How often should I dermaplane?
It is recommended that patients space treatments approximately two to four weeks apart for the best results.
